I am happy to say that I have gotten back into the art of sewing. I’ve dusted off the sewing machine, gathered my materials and I am up and going again!
My mom and I headed out to the fabric store a few days ago, and within the last fifteen minutes of closing we quickly picked out some material so I could sew some baby blankets! I’m pretty much a beginner when it comes to the sewing machine, but these blankets were so easy to make and can be used as great gifts!

This is my favorite so far… Love the cute froggies! The back side is a light green and white striped. (They are much brighter than they look in the picture.)

Here’s another close up at one of the blankets… The back side is white with pastel polka dots.

The fabric used to make this one (sorry about all the wrinkles) was given to me by my grandma a while back, but I finally pulled it out and told myself that I was going to do something with it. :) It has nursery rhymes on it.

Thank you Grandma!

I’m anxious to get back to the store and purchase more material. Can’t wait to do some more sewin’!

That’s so great! I just started sewing a week ago, so I’ll be watching to see how you do. I agree, the froggies are the best!
BTW my kids are homeschooled too!
Sweet! I love sewing. It can be really fun… Although really aggravating when things don’t go your way.

Very cool! I would love to start sewing sometime, but it seems like a pain to learn! Oh well maybe one day.
God Bless,

CUTE! I can’t wait to see more!
Hi Kira,
Love the blankets! You picked out some neat designs for your fabrics. They look fabulous!
