Looking for Meal Ideas!

recipe book Pictures, Images and Photos

With the school year, other activities, and the overall busyness of homeschooling approaching, my mom has asked if I could take on some more of the meals for the family.  So, I guess I’m looking for some ideas…  :)

Any yummy, easy-to-make dinners you know of?  I’d love to hear!  If you want, you can leave a comment with the recipe – I love trying new things!

  1. Hey! I have a soup recipe I use a LOT when I make lunch or supper here is the link >> http://tinyurl.com/3lcouf

Its really good and easy! We double this recipe for us (6 people) and have a little left over. And I would mince tha garlic instead of halving it

    God Bless

  2. Hey thank you, Kinsey!

I’ll have to try this! It sounds good!

  3. Hey Kira –
I’m glad to see you will be improving your culinary skills at your mother’s request. I have the delightful task of making dinner every night. I sometimes do some of our faves, but sometimes I get to try a new recipe and see how it works. I have made a lot of my own recipes by doing that. I should write them all down and make my own recipe book. :P

Sure, I can give you a few. You can go here to see some of our menus – http://trainingdaughtersteachingwives.com/?cat=179 It has our menu for this week and a couple of weeks ago. Some of them have the recipes linked in them. If you find one that sounds good, let me know if you want the recipe (if its not on there). I could probably just give them to you, or post them non my blog for everyone to read. :)

Hope this helps. I love sharing recipes. I’ll be posting what we had tonight soon with photos – baked chicken, with rice pilaf, carrots and green beans. Doesn’t that sound GREAT??? It was, especially the rice. It turned out better than I expected. But that will be saved for the post. ;)

Well, sorry my comment is so long. I’m afraid I got a little carried away by talking. Ok, ok, I’m stopping. :P

    • Hey thanks, Rachel! I checked out the link you gave me; It’s nice to get an idea of how to put all the meals and everything together, since I’m looking to do some menu planning myself soon. :)

Ooh, that does sound good! See, I like to get personal opinions when it comes to trying new recipes, and also hearing how other young ladies like myself are working on taking over the kitchen a bit ;)

Thank you for the comment! Long ones are always welcome :D

      • You are welcome to use our menu plans – that is what they are posted for. I think my culinary skills have improved very much over the past 6 months, as I have been cooking and baking more. I am getting into making bread for everyday use, and I also make the challah bread every Friday for Shabbat.

But my bread always seems to have a hole in the middle of it. Though Jocelyn’s didn’t…. but she can’t make challah bread, so I can make some bread well!

I will hopefully be able to post that soon, but I can’t upload photos on photobucket where Amanda has to upload them. She gets mad if I send her too many photos. So… I try to limit the number of photos I send.
