Today, Kelly says this is her best birthday ever. Why? I’ll tell you. Drum roll please………

WE GOT A DOG!!!
You want to know the story? Well, here it is,
Over the years, we’ve been through the whole pet thing… two Shih Tzu dogs, two Ginnie pigs, a bird, frogs and fish. For eight years now we’ve been without a dog, and about four years without any other pets. Ever since we got rid of our last one, my dad hasn’t wanted any more. When we have asked, the same reply is always “no.” So…we finally gave up hope on getting a dog.
It wasn’t until a neighbor family that me and my sister babysit, recently got a dog – a Yorkshire Terrier – the cutest little thing! That sparked an idea for us (my siblings and me)….. We would love to have a little Yorkie! You wouldn’t believe how much we tried to talk our dad into getting a dog since then! It has been a constant discussion. But - my dad was still firm in his decision. So, I brought my hopes down, because I knew our chances were slim, and I told myself, that if God means for us to have a dog – He will show us.
Then, last morning, it was my mom who told us the news…….dad said yes! They had talked it over the night before, and my dad agreed – but under one circumstance – that it would be our responsibility for taking care of the dog. We agreed!
Thank you God!!!
So, we have been doing a lot dog searching….and we have finally settled on a 1 year old, 7 pound girl Shih Tzu!!! She is from a top breeder, and is pure Shih Tzu all the way from Thyland! And she is just a little bigger than a Yorkshire Terrier and is full grown- the same size we’ve wanted! When we saw the picture, we knew she was for us! We all completely fell in love with her! The breeder says that she loves people, “dances,” and loves to snuggle and give kisses. They say that if she was two pounds more, she could qualify to be a show dog! She is a really pretty dog.
Now, yesterday we went to the pet store to pick up all the needed items, and we got everything ready for her. So early this morning, my parents drove off to go pick up our new little dog. They came back with her later this afternoon. We were still debating between a few names we had chosen, but ended up picking a new one – Maya. We all loved it. She looks like a Maya too. We are so blessed and thankful to God for her!
And that’s the story of how we got our little Maya.

AWWWWWW what a cute puppy!!!!!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!
And congrats on a puppy. I’m looking to get a dachshund doggy.
Hello! Tell your sister that I said “Happy Birthday”! WOW, a dog! I’ve wanted a pet my whole life, but we haven’t been able to aford one, or the military base won’t alow it. We can aford a small animal, and since the base rules said nothing about it, we might get a hamster, or a mouse! I really hope so, I’ve never had one before.
LOL but of course, I’ve always wanted a dog. I used to babysit a Shih Tzu called Meegy before the neighbors moved. Shi Tzus are so cute! Your Maya looks adorable!
Would you like to be on my friends list?
